It's 2020. Hong Kong is at a standstill. The government has closed the restaurants. For years, Morgan and César have been supplying the city's finest tables with wild-caught fish and oysters from France. But the kitchens have gone quiet, and the surplus keeps piling up.
So they do something brilliant: the finest restaurant-quality produce in Hong Kong, delivered straight to home kitchens while the restaurants stay closed. They open a WhatsApp group. Every day, they post the day's offers. First come, first served.
Hong Kong's food lovers pounce. They order. They come back. They tell their neighbours, their colleagues. They discover fish they could never find here, arriving straight from Brittany.
That WhatsApp group became BONEATO. The format evolved, the spirit stayed. Our Flash Sales carry it forward every day.

The idea that changed everything.
When Fleur landed in Hong Kong in late 2021, one thing struck her right away: eating well here takes real effort. Fish from one shop. Meat from another. Organic vegetables from a third. Cheese from somewhere else entirely. A weekly scavenger hunt just to cook a good meal.
In 2022, Morgan and César brought her on board with a mission: turn that WhatsApp group into a fine grocery app. At the time, there was a name and a blank page. Everything still needed to be built.
A few months later, BONEATO opened its doors: wild-caught fish, French meat, organic fruits and vegetables, artisanal cheese and fine groceries, all in one place. Same-day or next-day delivery, anywhere in Hong Kong.
