Delete your BONEATO account

You can ask us to delete your BONEATO account and the personal data linked to it at any time, from the app or by email. Here is how, and what happens next.

This page applies to your customer account on the BONEATO website (boneato.hk) and in the BONEATO app for iPhone and Android, published by M & C Asia Limited, Hong Kong. It is the same account in both places, so one request deletes it everywhere.

1.How to request deletion

Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Please use one of the two options above.

2.What happens next

• To protect your account, we may reply to the email address on your account to confirm the request comes from you.
• We then delete your account and confirm by email once it is done, at the latest within 40 days as required by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
• Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you shop with us again later, you will simply create a new account.

3.What we delete

• Your account profile: name, email address and phone number
• Your saved delivery addresses
• Your loyalty tier, points and any unused rewards
• Your referral code and any unused referral credit
• Your marketing preferences: you will no longer receive our newsletters, offers or app notifications

Loyalty points, rewards and referral credit are lost when the account is deleted and cannot be restored or refunded.

4.What we keep, and for how long

• Order and invoice records are kept for at least 7 years, as required by Hong Kong tax and accounting laws. They are kept only for that purpose and are never used for marketing.
• Payment card details are never stored by BONEATO: they are handled by our payment providers.
• Browsing and analytics data is kept only in aggregated form that does not identify you, typically for up to 26 months.
